Have you heard about the Great Backyard Bird Count? It is a free program that creates a snap shop of where birds are across Canada and the United States. It can take as little as 15 minutes. The 4-day event takes place on Feb 17-20, 2012 and can easily be related to this year's Thinking Day theme of We Can Save Our Planet. Click the button to browse their website for more information. |
| Need some inspiration for Thinking Day? This years theme includes looking at the waste we produce and seeking inventive ways to reuse materials. Each of these articles links to several craft ideas that are both eco-friendly and fun. Make abstract art using those stubby little crayons that even little fingers can no longer use. Use up old magazines, phone books and junk mail with these creative and useful ideas. Create cute cases for i-pods, mp3 players and cell phones using a variety of household scraps.
