Code of Conduct for ALL members This Code of Conduct is an integral part of the policies of the Girl Guides of Canada and must be upheld by all Members.
A Member will: 1. abide by the Promise and Law, and values of Girl Guides of Canada and adhere to its policies and rules. 2. bring honour and dignity to Girl Guides of Canada and uphold its reputation and integrity. 3. demonstrate respect for all girl and adult Members through words, actions and behaviour. 4. be vigilant in ensuring an environment that is safe and protects girls and adults from the threat of emotional, physical, verbal or sexual abuse. 5. uphold and protect the personal and professional reputation of other Members and the Guiding community. 6. be diligent in maintaining the confidentiality of information regarding Girl Guides of Canada not generally available to the public and obtained in the course of performing her role in Guiding. 7. respect another Member's right to privacy and the confidentiality of that Member's personal information. 8. fulfill her role and responsibility as stated in her position description, and act within the limitations of her authority in the discharge of her duties. 9. act with honesty and integrity when dealing with property, monies and any other assets belonging to Girl Guides of Canada. 10. respect and uphold the anti-discrimination laws of Canada and her Province. Girl Guides of Canada will not tolerate discrimination against a Member or non-member of GGC based on race, national or ethnic origin, citizenship, colour, religion, sex, age, mental or physical disability, political beliefs, socio-economic status, health related status, sexual orientation, or marital status. 11. respect and abide by the laws of her Province and Canada.

GUIDES Ages 9 - 11 An objective-based program where girls are challenged to explore their own interests and understand the world around them.
|
|
PATHFINDERS Ages 12-14 A place where girls are presented with the opportunity to learn useful new skills and make a difference in the community.
|
RANGERS Ages 15 - 17+ A program focusing on independence and adventure where young women decide upon a program based upon their interests.
|
TREX & Extra Ops Ages 12 - 17+ A new program that opens avenues of adventure and challenge to young women who want to focus on outdoor skills and community service.
Note: The Promise, Law and Motto for Pathfinder, Trex, Extra Ops, Rangers and Adult Members is the same as the one listed under Guides.

ADULTS Ages 18+ An opportunity for women to continue learning new skills, meeting new people and making a difference in their community. There are many ways women can be involved with Guiding. They include Link, Trefoil Guild, Members at Large and working with a unit.
